South Carolina officials detain 6 on drug charges

On Dec. 18, police detained six individuals in Myrtle Beach for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking and other drug-related activities. Three searches executed by police allegedly yielded several controlled substances linked to the six individuals, including cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. Along with the drugs, police claim that they seized two firearms, items consistent with drug distribution, such as scales an baggies, and thousands of dollars in cash.

Driver charged with 5th DUI after South Carolina police pursuit

A man who led police on a chase in Kershaw County was taken into custody on Nov. 30 after he crashed his vehicle into an embankment. The driver, a 43-year-old man with an extensive DUI history, now faces a fifth DUI in addition to numerous related traffic charges.
